PURPOSE: A method for preparing 9,10-bis£4-(2,2-diphenylvinyl)phenyl|anthracene (DPVA) is provided, to obtain a blue and blue-green light emitting material with a high yield. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dissolving the 9,10-bis(4-formylphenyl)anthracene of the formula 10 and the diphenyl methyl diethyl phosphonate of the formula 3 in a polar solvent; and reacting them with a base to prepare the 9,10-bis £4-(2,2-diphenylvinyl)phenyl|anthracene of the formula 1. Preferably the amount of the diphenyl methyl diethyl phosphonate is 2-4 equivalence based on 1 equivalence of the 9,10-bis(4-formylphenyl)anthracene. Preferably the polar solvent is at least one selected from the group consisting of acetonitrile, acetone, tetrahydrofuran, dimethyl sulfoxide and N,N-dimethylformaldehyde; and the base is one selected from the group consisting of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, potassium carbonate, methylamine, ethylamine, triethylamine, sodium ethoxide, sodium methoxide and potassium t-butoxide. |
