<p>The bottle cap comprises a transverse upper wall (3), an outer cylindrical skirt with a thread and an inner sealing skirt (13), having a disc seal (26) against the inner surface of its upper wall and inside the inner skirt. The seal is glued or welded to the transverse upper wall. It has a gas barrier and/or oxygen absorbing properties. The bottle cap, e.g. of plastic and comprising a transverse upper wall (3), an outer cylindrical skirt with a thread and an inner sealing skirt (13), has a disc seal (26) against the inner surface of its upper wall and inside the inner skirt. The seal is glued or welded to the transverse upper wall, its thickness is less than the height of the inner skirt, and it has gas barrier and/or oxygen absorbing properties. The disc can be made from an inner gas barrier plastic layer, two intermediate layers, and two outer layers. An Independent claim is also found for a method of making the bottle cap.</p> |
