Method for matching a command transmitter and a command receiver forming part of a group of several command transmitters and receivers, communicating via the same protocol. Said method has the following steps: an initiating event is detected by the command receiver or receivers to be matched; the detecting receivers receive a frame containing identification information; detection of a mechanical action applied to a mobile element associated with the matched receiver; and storage of identifying information in the receiver on detection of the mechanical action. The invention also relates to a corresponding installation for method implementation.
