The manipulator has a chassis, an articulated pantograph (10) mounted on the chassis, and a hedge trimming tool (11,11') at the top of the pantograph. The hedge trimming tool is mounted on a unit (28,30,52) which can move in translation relative to the pantograph, and is fitted with a tilting mechanism (52,60,62) to allow the tool to rotate relative to the pantograph.
