摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the inclination of an object in two axial directions with a small, thin and low-cost configuration. SOLUTION: The installation surface of a package 16 is divided into 4 area, 3 light receiving elements 13, 14, 15 are installed respectively on 3 areas, each with either one of the elements, adjacent to each other to be arrange into an L-shape. A light emitting element 12 is installed on the remaining area. The light emitting element 12 is arranged adjacently to the light receiving elements 13, 14, 15 so that a reflected spot light from an object covers all of the light receiving elements 13, 14, 15. By forming a light shielding wall 17 on the boundary between the installation area of the light emitting element 12 on the installation surface of the package 16 and the installation area of the light receiving elements 13, 14, 15 to prevent the light from the light emitting element 12 from being directly entering the light receiving elements 13, 14, 15, there is attained a small, thin and low-cost tilt angle detecting device capable of detecting the inclination of the object to the two axial directions with a set of optical coupling devices comprising the light emitting element and the light receiving elements.
