PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skirt body for a vehicle which absorbs noise propagating below the skirt body without using a sound absorbing material to reduce noise generated from an undercarriage. SOLUTION: This skirt body is provided with a resonance sound absorbing means which has a resonance space 20 opened downward by an opening, guides sound wave propagating below into the resonance space 20 through the opening, and converts acoustic energy into heat energy by resonance phenomenon to absorb sound in a lower end part 11. As for the resonance sound absorbing means, a shape of cross section vertical in the direction of axial line of a vehicle is cylindrical. A long hole 19 extended in the axial direction of the vehicle and opened downward is formed in a lower part of the resonance sound absorbing means. Both end parts of lower wall parts 17, 18 facing the long hole 19 have projection bars 17a, 18a extending in the axial direction of the vehicle and protruding upward. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
