PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a die, by which a very reliable die can be achieved by accurately connecting a plurality of members. SOLUTION: Because a die material 4 and a backing member 5 are connected by means of a connecting member 6 which is formed by electrocasting, the electrocast product is formed under room temperature without causing deformation due to thermal expansion. Therefore, precise connection is possible, and sufficient connection strength is maintained even under high temperature, and further, sufficient resistance for the repeating force during forming is achieved. As a result, the die having excellent reliability can be provided compared to the cases of the connection by a bolt, adhesives, metal spraying, an alloy having a low melting point, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
