PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems on specific surface area, etc., and to provide completely new fullerene microstructure bodies manufacturable by an easy method. SOLUTION: Hollow hexagonal columnar fullerene microstructure bodies having <10μm diameter and <100μm length are provided. These microstructure bodies are formed by mixing an isopropyl alcohol solution containing a metal peroxide with a toluene solution containing fullerenes at a low temperature of -90 to 5°C.
