PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regulating the formation of a tuber of a plant belonging to the genus Disa of orchid family. SOLUTION: This method for producing the plant belonging to the genus Disa comprises (1) a step for treating a plant body of the Disa in a seedling stage in which, for example, a flower bud of the seedling is not differentiated, at a low temperature, (2) a step for forming the tuber by cultivating the plant body obtained in the step (1), and (3) a step for forming a new plant body from the tuber obtained in the step (2), and separating and cultivating the plant body.
