PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system of an electrical household appliance and its control method. SOLUTION: This system comprises an Internet network through line or radio transmission, a home server controlling and managing a home network to which a plurality of the electrical household appliance are connected, a central portal server exchanging data of an XML format with the home server connected through the Internet network, and a remote control device connecting to the Internet network and inputting control instructions into the central portal server to control remotely the plurality of the electrical household appliance. Loads of the home server and the central portal server are reduced, delay in data transmission is prevented, malfunction of remote control by a signal error occurring in a conversion process of a data format is prevented, and reliability and accuracy of the remote control system are secured by omitting the conversion process of the data format.
