<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which toner attached to a transfer body is certainly and efficiently removed therefrom. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a transfer device 5, a high voltage unit 9 applying voltage with polarity identical to that of the toner to the transfer device 5 and retransferring the toner attached to the transfer device 5 to a photosensitive body 1, a first optical sensor 6 detecting at least one out of toner concentration and a toner amount of a toner image attached to the photosensitive body 1 after transfer of the toner image, a cleaning device 7 to remove the toner attached to the photosensitive body 1 after transfer of the toner image and a controlling part 8 adjusting a condition of the retransfer via the high voltage unit 9 based on the value detected with the first optical sensor 6. The controlling part 8 estimates the toner amount on a transfer belt 14 based on the result of detection with the first optical sensor 6 and adjusts the condition of the retransfer based on the result of the estimation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
