<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angular velocity sensor using a tuning fork oscillator for detecting an angular velocity being small-sized and having a small dead space. <P>SOLUTION: The tuning fork oscillator 16 is configured such that a first arm having driving electrodes, a second arm having detecting electrodes, and a common base placed at one ends of the first arm and the second arm are integrated by a piezoelectric element. The tuning fork oscillator 16 is placed in parallel with a base 12 by a support base 19 provided on the base thereof.
