PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation technique by which a substance of a small size such as a cell, nucleic acid, and protein can be classified in a short period of time with excellent resolution by sampling a small amount of the substance and which hardly causes a trouble such as clogging.

SOLUTION: On a partition wall 165 interposed between the adjacent flow passage grooves 161a and 161b, a plurality of separating flow passages are arranged which are communicated with the grooves 161a, 161b and through which only a small molecule 151 equal to or smaller than the prescribed size is made to pass.
