<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst capable of efficiently decomposing an chlorinated organic compound such as dioxins or the like at a low temperature, and a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for decomposing chlorinated organic compound has a honeycomb structure is characterized by having cracks on the surfaces thereof. The manufacturing method of this catalyst for decomposing the organochlorine compound having the honeycomb structure wherein an active component is supported on a carrier at least including a process for supporting the active component on the carrier and a baking process for baking the supported carrier.
