<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for an electrical component capable of improving the high frequency characteristic of a contact pin, and narrowing an arrangement space. <P>SOLUTION: In the IC socket 11, the contact pin 17 is composed of an electrical component side contact member 26 contacting an IC package, and a printed circuit board side contact member 27 contacting a printed circuit board 13. An energizing member 23 is provided at the side of the contact pin 17. When the IC package 12 is housed in a socket body 15, the electrical component side contact member 26 is pressed, and both contact members 26 and 27 are displaced sideways in contacting states. By this, the energizing member 23 is elastically deformed, at least one of the contact members 26 and 27 is pressed sideways by the elastic force of the energizing member 23, and both contact members 26 and 27 are energized so as to return to original attitudes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
