<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a long molded object capable of effectively suppressing the outer diameter fluctuations of the long molded object, and a manufacturing apparatus therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A taking-up speed is calculated so as to change from a manufacturing linear velocity V<SB>o</SB>to a first acceleration for a predetermined period from the start of a change in a screw rotary speed by a taking-up speed operation part and a command changing the taking-up speed to the calculated value is applied to a taking over machine by a command part. When the production time is elapsed, the taking-over speed is calculated so as to change at a second acceleration by a taking-over speed operation part and a command for changing the taking over speed to the calculated value is applied to the taking-over machine by the command part. When the rotary speed of the screw reaches R<SB>1</SB>and a change in a screw rotary speed is completed, a taking-over speed is changed at the third acceleration to be calculated so as to arrive a manufacturing linear speed V<SB>1</SB>and a command changing the taking-over speed to the calculated value is applied to the takig-over machine.
