<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make improvement of the compression ratio and strengthening of the error resistance compatible, whereas effective error measures for transmitting images utilizing a network depend on the image compression technique. <P>SOLUTION: An image input unit 12 inputs data of key frames. A matching processor 14 executes the matching calculation between two key frames to generate a matching information file. A stream generator 16 incorporates the data of key frames with the matching information file to generate a coded data stream CBS. An error resistance controller 20 generates data of redundant key frames for doubling data of at least a part of the key frames to control so as to take an error resistance process for adding the data of the redundant frames to the data stream CBS in the stream generator 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
