PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp wherein thermal damage of an end part of the lamp at end of life of an electrode is prevented when an emitter is depleted, without damaging productivity of the fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: With the fluorescent lamp with two lead wires penetrated through a bulb end part 27 occluding a bulb 23 and an electrode filament 24 set between the lead wires 28a, 28b, metal radiating bodies 29a, 29b are fitted at each foot part of the lead wires 28a, 28b, and a concave part 27b is formed on an inside face 27a of the bulb end part 27 so that outer periphery end parts 32a, 32b of the radiating bodies 29a, 29b do not come in touch with the inside face 27a of the bulb end part 27 on the line connecting between the lead wires 28a, 28b.
