PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable and large-capacity information recording and reproducing method which ensures stable signal quality in all recording positions of inner and outer circumferences and performs stable reproduction. SOLUTION: The recording area of a disk recording medium 1 is divided into a plurality of zones 2a to 2f that are sequentially adjacent in the radial direction, a clock fo recording and reproduction is allocated to each of the zones 2a to 2f, and data are recorded/reproduced with the clock allocated to each of the zones 2a to 2f.
