PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive in which high speed reproduction of a CD-RW is attained at a low cost. SOLUTION: In the optical disk drive furnished with an LPF (low-pass filter) for eliminating the noise components of an RF signal read from the optical disk, the above problem is solved by the optical disk drive having such a feature that an LPF switching signal generating means for outputting a control signal showing a class of the optical disk and a cutoff frequency changing means for receiving the control signal showing the class of the optical disk to change the cutoff frequency of the LPF, are provided therein.
