PROBE FOR GATHERING OPTICAL INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information gathering probe for acquiring optical information from different positions of specimens without moving the probe itself. SOLUTION: The probe (100) for gathering optical information comprises an optical fiber (104) whose tip section is curved; and a curve adjusting section (110) for adjusting the curved state of the tip section. The curve adjusting section (110) includes a press member (112) for adjusting a curved state by elastically deforming the tip section by pressing the tip section of the optical fiber (104) from an outer periphery surface; and a position adjusting mechanism (114) for adjusting the position of the press member. The position adjusting mechanism (114) adjusts the position of the press member (112) by sliding the press member (112) along the optical fiber (104). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
