PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating mechanism capable of easily adjusting an opening and closing state of a passage, and a ventilator equipped with the rotating mechanism. SOLUTION: This ventilator 1 comprises the passage opening and closing member 8 supported on an upper frame 2 rotatably in the R1 and R2 directions through a hinge mechanism 7 to open and close the ventilating passage 6 defined by the upper frame 2, a lower frame 3, and lateral frames 4, 5, the rotating mechanism 9 for rotating the passage opening and closing member 8 in the R1 and R2 directions, and an upper cover 10 and a lower cover 11 sealing the rotating mechanism 9.
