PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of dew condensation in an introduction pipe to a dust collecting machine for a carrier gas when drying a processing object by an indirect heating type steam tube dryer. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the steam tube dryer 1 for drying the processing object W by supplying the object W and indirectly heating the object W, the dust collecting machine 4 introduced with the carrier gas G discharged from the steam tube dryer 1, the introduction pipe 6 for connecting the steam tube dryer 1 and the dust collecting machine 4 to introduce the carrier gas G to the dust collecting machine 4. A steam trace is provided to the introduction pipe 6 by a steam trace tube 8, and dust is collected by introducing the carrier gas G discharged from the steam tube dryer 1 into the dust collecting machine 4, insulating heat via the introduction pipe 6 provided with the steam trace.
