PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound proofing sprocket improving an sound proofing effect. SOLUTION: On an outer peripheral surface of a boss portion 11 of a sprocket main body 10 having a plural strips of engaging portions 12 capable of engaging with a roller chain with an outer periphery, a spring ring 21 wherein a part in a circumferential direction is cut is positioned between the engaging portions 12, 12, and fitted by diameter contracting spring force. On an outer peripheral surface of the spring ring 21, an elastic layer 20 made from rubber elastic material is integrally vulcanizing adhered. An outer peripheral surface of the elastic layer 20 forms a wave surface having the same pitch as the engaging portion 12, and crest portions overhang to the outer peripheral side than a teeth bottom 12b.
