PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fine particles of a noble metal superior in redispersibility, which are hardly agglomerated, and uniformly dispersed in a state of a primary particle when mixed with a solvent or a resin, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The fine particles of the noble metal has the surface of the raw fine particles of the noble metal coated with a surface treatment agent so as to show a coverage of 1-15 wt.%. The fine particles of the noble metal has an average particle diameter limited to less than 200 nm, and a specific surface area measured with the BET method limited to 1.0 m<SP>2</SP>/g or larger. The method for manufacturing the fine particles of the noble metal having the above composite structure is characterized by mixing a first solution containing ions of the noble metal, with a second solution containing a reducing agent for reducing the ions and precipitating the noble metal, and a surface treatment agent, while keeping the solution temperature to 30°C or lower.
