PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous cleanser composition whose conditioning component is effectively left on the hair and the skin, also after rinsed, and which has an excellent conditioning property, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The method for producing the cleanser composition comprises adding and mixing a water-soluble salt with an aqueous dispersion comprising a water-soluble ionic polymer and a water-insoluble conditioning component to prepare a premix and then adding and mixing the premix with a separately prepared aqueous cleanser base containing a surfactant.
