PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a runner for a water turbine capable of being improved in turbine efficiency, and the water turbine equipped with the runner for the water turbine. SOLUTION: The runner for the water turbine is formed to have a runner vane angleαof a wall surface neighboring parts 33x of each runner vane 34, which is smaller than the center part 33y located between the wall surface neighboring parts 33x.
