摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new enzyme derived from a microorganism and having laccase activities, and to provide a method for producing the enzyme, and the like. SOLUTION: The new enzyme is a laccase (a polyphenol oxidase) derived from the microorganism, and has the following characteristics: (1) substrate specificity: catalyzing an oxidation reaction using 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), guaiacol, 4-hydroxyindole, 2,6-dimethoxyphenol, catechol, pyrogallol and syringaldazine as the substrate; (2) optimum pH: 6.5-7.5; and (3) molecular weight: 70,000-80,000 daltons measured by SDS-polyacrylamide electrophoresis. The method for producing the enzyme, the microorganism producing the enzyme, and the method for degrading a phenolic compound and an aromatic amine compound are also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
