METHOD FOR POTTING ROOTED SEEDLING AND POTTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for potting a rooted seedling by which a transplanting hole into which the rooted seedling is inserted is easily formed at a potting operation of transplanting the rooted seedling in a pot, and the formed transplanting hole is prevented from being collapsed; and to provide a potting apparatus. SOLUTION: Soil for cultivation packed in the pot is properly wetted by watering the soil, and the transplanting hole is bored in the resultant soil by a drill. An excess load is not required because the hole is bored by the drill. The rooted seedling is put in the transplanting hole. The soil discharged from the transplanting hole by the rotation of the drill is banked on the upper edge part of the transplanting hole because the wetted soil is in an adhered state of soil particles. The banked soil on the upper edge part is used as soil covering the root by collapsing the banked soil by watering thereon. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
