The book trimmer (60) has a reciprocating actuator (50) for moving a trim blade (40) towards a book (20) on a support (30) to trim the edge of the book. The trim blade has a trim blade edge (45) formed with two sections (42,44), such that one blade edge section (44) is angled with respect to the other blade edge section (42). An Independent claim is included for the trim blade.
