<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately inspect a condition of a grinding surface of a grinding tool without using a complicated image treatment technique. <P>SOLUTION: When imaging the grinding surface of a grinding wheel 10 with a camera-equipped microscope 70, and inspecting the condition of abrasive grains 20 based on the image data, the entire surface of the grinding wheel 10 is colored in advance with a spray 60. Then, a sample grinding object 30' is ground for a given length of time with the grinding wheel 10 whose grinding surface is colored, which makes the coloring on the surface of the grinding grains 20 actually working on the processing, removed and the wheel texture exposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
