<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic cell high in designability and made visually identifiable without reduction in photovoltaic conversion efficiency, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The rugged texture of the light-receiving surface of a photovoltaic cell substrate 101, built of single-crystal silicon (100), is patterned into a letter, symbol, or graphic, as specified. The letter, symbol, and graphic are intended for identification. For the manufacturing of the cell, a mask is formed on the light-receiving surface of the photovoltaic cell substrate 101, built of single-crystal silicon (100), and, through the mask, a letter, symbol, or graphic is formed for cell identification by the TMAH (tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide) etching process or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
