TOOL FOR HOUSING SPLICE EXCESS LENGTH OF OPTICAL FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical fiber housing tool having simple structure capable of realizing the facilitation of the housing operation of excess length while housing and holding the spliced part of the optical fiber.

SOLUTION: The optical fiber housing tool 1 for housing the excess length part 11 of the optical fiber 9 including the spliced part 15 where the optical fibers are spliced with each other is equipped with a take-up part 3, and a housing space 13 formed by position regulating means 5 and 7 having a larger diameter than the take-up part 3 at both end sides of the take-up part 3, and is constituted so that slit parts 19 and 41 nearly bisecting either the means 5 or 7 communicate with the housing space 13 at both ends thereof and receive the spliced part 15.
