<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment which permits key entry while maintaining compactness and input operability. <P>SOLUTION: A personal digital assistant 1 is provided with a main body 100 having a liquid crystal screen 110 on which a character or the like is displayed; and a cover 200 which is disposed so as to cover a part of the liquid crystal screen 110 of the main body 100. The cover 200 is provided at a position where the cover overlaps a part of the liquid crystal screen 110, and is provided with a keyboard 211 having a plurality of keys for inputting a character or the like.
