PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the area of a semiconductor storage device with a relief circuit by eliminating the loading of an address decoder for relief. SOLUTION: A relief signal information holding part 12 provided in an address comparing part 1 is controlled so as to hold a decoded relief address when a 2to1 selector 3 is controlled so as to input an address signal 102 for relief to an address decoder by a setup signal 106 outputted from a control part 5. An address comparing part 1 is controlled so as to compare a reading/writing address with a relief address when the 2to1 selector 3 is controlled so as to input a reading/writing address signal 10 to the address decoder 101.
