PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method easy to handle even for an inexperienced person, which can reduce human load for operation of environmental definition information in design, construction or maintenance, or a management work or the like of a large-scale distributed computing system, assisting the work, and prevent a trouble by a human error or the like. SOLUTION: This system comprises a means for performing the user interface processing of accepting display of environmental definition information and input of environmental definition information through an input form; a means for generating system set files to be delivered and applied as environmental definition files to computers based on the environmental definition parameter value input by an operator; a means for delivering and applying the system set files to the computers based on delivery designation information; a means for collectively retaining and managing the system set files as a master file in a storage part; and a means for collecting environmental definition files applied to the computers.
