PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device which can efficiently cool light bulb without upsizing a cooling fan. SOLUTION: The projection display device synthesizes the colors of the light rays emitted from a plurality of the reflection light bulbs 108R, 108G and 108B and projects the synthesized light thereof by a projection lens 110. A ventilating hole 131G for sending cooling air to the light valve 108G is formed at a floor member 130 arranged below the light bulb 108G such that the cooling air by the cooling fan 170 disposed in the lower part of the floor member 130 is guided through a branch pipe 140G of an air guide pipe 140 and the ventilating hole 131G to the light bulb 108G.
