PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alleviant useful for radiation injuries concurred with radiotherapies widely used in treating cancer and the like, especially radiation mucitis, radiation enteritis, especially radiation enteritis in digestive tracts such as intestine particularily highly sensitive to radiation. SOLUTION: The radiation injury alleviant comprises 6,10,14,18-tetramethyl-5,9,13,17-nonadecatetraen-2-one of the formula as the active ingredient.
