The bearing has a shaft (62) and a bearing bush (60') that engages around the shaft at a small radial distance, whereby a grooved structure (72) is provided on the outer surface of the shaft and/or the inner surface of the bush to form a pressure-generating region. The bearing bush is made in one piece with a flange (60) or a base plate or another fixed frame component of the direct current motor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a spindle motor with an inventive hydrodynamic bearing (b) and disk drive with a spindle motor.
