<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip which can prevent slippage between the fingers of a user and the grip from occurring and a writing utensil provided with the grip. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of recessed channels 31 are formed on the grip 30 used for such writing utensils 10 as ball-point pens and mechanical pencils, and the width of the channel of each recessed channel 31 is 0.1-0.3 mm. In addition, the pitch of the recessed channel 31 can be made 0.25-0.5 mm.
