<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus improving the visibility and the operability of a user and preventing meaningless enlarged display by not having the enlarged display carried out immediately even when the user carries out an incorrect operation. <P>SOLUTION: In a setting screen displayed to a display part, when a part which is other than a set item within various setting ranges constituting the setting screen (excepting the set items in the setting range) is selected (S02 to S03, No), enlarged display of the setting range including the part is carried out (S06) with having that part being continually selected for a period longer than a specified time (S04 to S05) as a condition.
