摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deterioration of exhaust emission caused by largely lowering of a fuel pressure in a period until the injection fuel reaches a cylinder after an auxiliary fuel injection valve starts fuel injection. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel injection control device starts fuel injection of a main fuel injection valve on a condition that a fuel pressure of the fuel supplied to the main fuel injection valve becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined value. Accompanied by the fuel injection of the main fuel injection valve which is performed in the period until the injection fuel of the auxiliary fuel injection valve reaches the cylinder, the control device predicts whether the fuel pressure becomes lower than an allowable value in the period or not based on a parameter related to the fuel pressure (steps 150 and 160). When it is predicted that the fuel pressure is not lowered than the allowable value during the period (step 160:NO), the fuel injection of the main fuel injection valve is started (steps 180 and 190). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
