摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oil composition having an improved friction-reducing property using a lubricous additive and to provide a method for improving friction-reducing by using a lubricating oil obtained from the same. SOLUTION: An engine oil contains a base oil and a friction reducing amount of an oil soluble sulfurized or unsulfurized oxymolybdenum complex prepared by reacting, in the presence of a polar promotor, an acidic molybdenum compound with a basic nitrogen compound and a low concentration of a sulfurized oxymolybdenum dialkyldithiocarbamate, which are employed together to provide at least 450 pts per million of molybdenum and less than 175 pts per million of the molybdenum from the dialkyldithiocarbamate, both on the basis of the engine oil.
