<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can achieve synchronization at a fast speed even when the device has a low processing capacity and can improve privacy during communication. <P>SOLUTION: When a controlling means 240 identifies a called terminal device which is requested a call acceptance by a telephone network 400, the controlling means selects an idle means from among a plurality of spread spectrum modulation and demodulation means 210, and sets a diffusion code for synchronization to the selected means. The selected means modulates signals with the code. A transmission and reception means transmits the modulated signals with the code to the called terminal device to synchronization therewith. A controlling means sets a diffusion code for communication inherent in the terminal, different from the diffusion code for synchronization, to the selected spread spectrum modulation and demodulation means, and communicates with the called terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
