PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a damping valve construction of each hydraulic shock absorber and reduce manufacturing cost in a hydraulic shock absorbing device having hydraulic shock absorbers provided at left and right of a wheel provided. SOLUTION: In the hydraulic shock absorbing device 1 for a vehicle provided with hydraulic shock absorbers 100, 200 at wheel left and right both sides, one hydraulic absorber 100 is provided with a compression side damping valve 43 on one oil passage 41 on a piston 26 and a check valve 44 on another oil passage 42, and an oil passage 50 for compensating volume of a piston rod 24 communicating to an oil reservoir 28 at a piston rod side oil chamber 27A, and another hydraulic absorber 200 is provided with a extension side damping valve 63 on one oil passage 61 on the piston 26 and a check valve 64 closing in extension and opening in compression on another oil passage 62, and an oil passage 70 for compensating volume of the piston rod 24 communicating to the oil reservoir 28 at a piston side oil chamber 27B.
