PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large stone crushing device which introduces earth excavated by a cutter plate into an earth chamber behind the cutter plate, positively and efficiently crush large stones mixed in the introduced excavated earth into small pieces in the earth chamber, and then discharges the resultant earth rearward through a mud discharge pipe. SOLUTION: The crushing device is comprised of a plurality pairs of inner and outer mobile rods 7, 7, and fixed rods 8. The pairs of the mobile rods 7, 7 are protruded from a rear surface of the cutter plate 3 in a manner being spaced a predetermined radial interval away from each other. The fixed rods 8 each protrude from a front surface of a bulkhead 2 forming the earth chamber 6 together with the cutter plate 3, in a manner passing a midpoint between the inner and outer mobile rods 7, 7. Then the inner and outer mobile rods 7, 7 lift the large stone A so as to bear both ends thereof according to rotation of the cutter plate 3, and then divide or crush the large stone A by bending an intermediate portion of the large stone A by the fixed rod 8.
