PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain a constant quality by improving a method for producing alloy powder or an intermetallic compound using a reduction-diffusing method. SOLUTION: The method for producing R-T base or R-T-X base alloy powder having a pre-reduction process, in which mixture of R oxide powder and T oxide powder is heated under rducing gas atmosphere and an intermediate raw material reduced to the metal-state at≥50 atm% of the theoretical quantity of the T oxide powder, is obtained, a reduction-diffusing process, in which a complexed mixture is obtained by mixing the above intermediate raw material and Ca, a collapsing process, in which generated alloy powder is obtained by charging the above complexed mixture into water, and a filming process, in which the film is formed on the surface of the generated alloy powder in acid-water solution having pH range of 5.5-7.3, is provided.
