ENZYMIC DEPILATORY AND ENZYMIC DEPILATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzymic depilation technique of an animal hair by which a hide with good quality and recovered hair can be obtained while extremely reducing a pollution load caused by a depilation waste liquid in a depilation process. SOLUTION: The enzymic depilatory of the animal hair contains an alkali protease having≥70 AKU keratinolytic activity,≤2 ratio of a collagenolytic activity to the keratinolytic activity, and≤4 ratio of an elastinolytic activity to the keratinolytic activity as an active ingredient. The enzymic depilation method in tannage of the hide involves bringing a raw hide into contact with the enzymic depilatory. The method for recovering the hair after the depilation is also provided.
