PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a scratch-shielding agent for a glass container exhibiting good affinity to glass and excellent in adhesion and scratch-shielding properties for glass and therefore capable of effectively preventing the generation of scratches on a film itself and on the glass surface while rapidly curing at room temperature, effectively preventing whitening of the film when soaking water and excellent in cleaning properties by cleaning with an alkali aqueous solution in the bottle-cleaning process of a recovered glass container. SOLUTION: The scratch-shielding agent for the glass container comprises (A) a silicone resin represented by the average compositional formula: R<SP>1</SP><SB>a</SB>(R<SP>2</SP>O)<SB>b</SB>Si<SB>c</SB>Ti<SB>d</SB>O<SB>(4-a-b)/2</SB>(wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a substituted or nonsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-8C alkyl group; and (a), (b), (c) and (d) are numbers satisfying 0.5<a<2, 0.4≤b≤2, 0.5≤c≤1, 0≤d≤0.5 and c+d=1, respectively) and (B) a titanium chelate compound.
