The pipes (16,26) are connected to the air pump. When pump pressure on the diaphragm (12), acting against the spring (20), lifts the valve (19) off its seat, air is fed into the chamber (27). Air from the chamber (37) is fed to the chamber (30) and the non return valve (28,31,32) then through the pipe (34) to the exhaust system.
